Or whatever we’ve decided to call this place by the time you’re reading it.

I’ve been meaning to start this blog for years. Not because I didn’t know how to build one. Technology has never been the problem.

The problem was having something worth saying.

Two years ago, I had roughly half the professional experience I have today. My understanding of technology, business operations, marketing, analytics, and systems was still growing. The boundaries of my knowledge were much smaller than they are now.

Today feels different.

Not because I’ve suddenly figured everything out. Far from it. But because we’re living through one of the most interesting shifts in technology utilization and AI history

AI is becoming more capable by the month. Automation tools are becoming more accessible. Software that was once reserved for large enterprises can now be used by freelancers, students, small business owners, and pretty much anyone with an internet connection.

And yet, despite all this progress, I’ve noticed something strange.

Most people are still barely using the technology they already have.

The Real Operational Problem: Technology Utilization

Over the past six years, I’ve worked across some of the world’s largest technology companies, leading operations and helping teams perform at scale. I’ve also spent the last few years helping businesses grow through sales, marketing, analytics, and operational systems.

The assumption many people make is that working inside technology companies gives you some secret knowledge about technology itself. Not really. Exposure? Sure. But mastery comes from deliberate learning, experimentation, and practical application.

The truth is that most people don’t have a technology problem. They have a utilisation problem. They pay for tools they barely use. They have access to software that could save them hours every week. They have automation opportunities sitting right in front of them. They have data available but no system for turning that data into action.

Technology is often treated like a gym membership. People sign up, feel productive, and then never actually use it enough to see results.

One lesson that has followed me throughout my career came from leading operational teams.

I remember building dashboards that gave people everything they needed in one place. Every action item. Every deadline. Every priority. Everything visible. Yet deadlines were still missed.

At first, I thought the issue was time. It wasn’t. The issue was systems. Technology can only take people as far as they’re willing to take themselves. The best dashboard in the world won’t help someone who doesn’t build habits around using it. The smartest AI won’t magically solve a process that was broken before the AI arrived.

Good technology amplifies good systems. Bad systems just get amplified faster.

This blog is our attempt to make technology more practical.

You’ll find:

  • Technology news that actually matters
  • AI updates explained without the apocalypse narrative
  • Software recommendations
  • Automation ideas
  • Marketing and sales insights
  • Operational systems
  • Freelancing lessons
  • Case studies
  • Productivity tools
  • Things we’ve tested ourselves

Most importantly, we’ll focus on applicability. Not just what’s new. But what you can actually do with it. Because information without application is entertainment, and there’s already enough entertainment on the internet.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time lifting, doing yoga, experimenting in the kitchen, playing video games, and attempting crochet projects that rarely turn out symmetrical.

I also have a black cat named Lilith. Technically, she’s my cat. Functionally, I’m her furniture. There’s a non-zero chance that future articles will contain unnecessary cat references.

You’ve been warned.

One thing I’d like readers to know is that we’re learning too. This isn’t a blog written from a mountaintop by people claiming to have all the answers. Technology changes too quickly for that. We’re constantly testing tools, learning new systems, validating ideas, and updating our understanding of how technology fits into work and life.

This blog is where we’ll document that journey.

The wins.

The mistakes.

The shortcuts.

The lessons.

And hopefully, help you stay updated, relevant, and a little more capable than you were yesterday.

Welcome aboard.
